Hello and welcome once again to Apple event day. In just a few hours, the company is expected to unveil its lineup of iPhone 15 models and a couple of new Apple Watches during a livestreamed showcase.
The event starts at 10 am Pacific time, 1 pm Eastern. You can watch it live right here on this page, or on Apple’s events website and the company’s YouTube channel. You can also view it on any Apple TV or streaming box—just go into the Apple TV+ app to find the livestream. When you open the app, the event should be displayed prominently right at the top of the page. This method works even if you don’t subscribe to Apple’s streaming service.
Our live blog will kick off at 9am Pacific, noon Eastern, about one hour before the event starts. We’ll offer commentary, photos, and updates from our reporters at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California.
We’re expecting to see the next iPhone today. It’s hard to believe, but we’re on the fifteenth iPhone now. We’ll see iPhone 15 in the regular size and the Max size, as well as Pro and Pro Max models with upgraded cameras, materials, and internal tech. It’s widely rumored that these new iPhones will be the first to ditch the Lightning connector in favor of the industry standard USB-C interface. That particular change, which has been a long time coming, will be a welcome one for all of us consumers who will now have one less cable to keep track of.
Also expected today are the new Apple Watch models. We should see a new Series 9 watch as a refreshed Apple Watch Ultra. We might also get an update on Apple Fitness+ and the other services that integrate with Apple’s watchOS and iOS platforms.
Of course, we never know exactly what Apple is going to announce at one of these events. But the company has historically used its September media event to debut new iPhone and Apple Watch models.
We’ll see you right here at 9am California time. When the live coverage starts, this page will refresh to show the live blog.
