Live From Cyberspace: Killer Cyber Monday Deals

-

- Advertisment -

There’s only one day a year that can still utter the word “Cyber” without sounding like a Boomer or a megalomaniac emerald mine heir. Good news, folks, today is that day. Happy Cyber Monday deals hunting everyone—it’s time to venture out onto the World Wide Web in search of bargains on big TVs, Nintendo consoles, thumb drives, and maybe a shiny new flip-phone.

WIRED’s Reviews team spends all year testing gear and tracking prices so that we can bring you the best deals on stuff that’s actually good—no chintzy dupes, no shady third-party sellers, no fake deals that are actually more expensive than the price two weeks ago. This live blog is where we’ll be tracking our favorite deals and giving special attention to lightening deals. If you’re looking for the absolute best Cyber Monday Deals we have a post for that, and feel free to look through the rest of our fresh Cyber Week deals coverage.

Top Cyber Monday deals

WIRED tests products year-round and handpicked these deals based on the actual discounts, not the discounts retailers claim to offer. If you buy something using links in our stories, we may earn a commission. This helps support our journalism. Learn more.

Hear me out: A vibrator you can ride

Sybian-style machines are kind of like beachfront housing and $500 bottles of wine. They sound really cool, but only rich people would ever actually get one. That’s what I thought, too, when I tested the Motorbunny Buck, a saddle-style machine with an *extremely* powerful vibrating motor inside. Not only that, this is the only device of its kind (that I know of, anyway) that can *also* perform thrusting motions. Everyone’s body is different and what works for one person may be dull and boring to another. I’ve tried this out with two partners and it’s shockingly versatile at providing such a wide array of entertaining stimulation that I’m comfortable saying: if you were ever going to spend four figures on a sex machine, this is probably the one to get.

Motorbunny Buck & Doc Johnson Attachment Bundle for $1,449 ($200 off with code CYBERBUCK)

While we haven’t tested out the original Motorbunny, it’s also worth noting this one is on sale as well. It lacks the thrusting motor, which might be fine if you’re one of the (many, many!) people who don’t get much from penetrative sex. It has a similarly wide range of attachments, a powerful motor, and most importantly, it’s *less* than a thousand dollars!

Motorbunny Original for $810 ($90 off with code COOL809)

Paper Shoot is hosting flash sales on its retro digital cameras

Every three hours during Cyber Monday, Paper Shoot has been hosting a flash sale on its tiny cameras that approximate the vibes of a film camera without the hassle of developing (9/10, WIRED Recommends). The price of a standard camera has gone up since we first tried it—from $120 to $139—but this price makes it more accessible. The deals have been coming quickly and going quickly but right now, through noon eastern, there’s a steady 10% off applied at checkout.

Your photos get a touch of retro film look, and you can’t obsess over every pose while you’re in the moment, but you also don’t have to spend money on film or wait for it to develop.

HBO, sorry, Max is only $3 a month for six months

The streaming service formerly known as HBO Max normally starts at $10/month (including ads), but if you’ve never signed up—or if you’ve cancelled your plan in the past—you can sign up right now and get the next 6 months for $3/month. That’s effectively four of the next six months for free. Plenty of time to watch Our Flag Means Death seven thousand times.

For streamers, a good microphone should be seen as well as heard

This is USB mic has become a go-to for Twitch streamers and casual gamers alike. It gets great sound quality without any complicated setup, and it has stylish RGB LEDs embedded in it so it even looks great on camera. If you plan to be on camera while you use your mic (or if you just like things that glow in pretty colors), the HyperX Quadcast S is a great option for you.

HyperX Quadcast S USB Microphone for $104 ($26 off)

Apple’s AirPod Max headset doesn’t go on sale much, but it’s on sale now

It’s been almost three years since we reviewed the AirPods Max (8/10, WIRED Recommends) and they still rarely go on sale. And when they do, it’s not by much. Still, that means the current $450 price is as low as you can reasonably expect these headphones to go.

Apple AirPods Max for $450 ($20 off)

If you’re looking for something a little more affordable, we’ve also seen the AirPods Pro on sale this weekend for $190. Which is only about $10 less than we often see them throughout the year, but it’s still the lowest you’re likely to see them for a while.

Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Gen, USB-C, 2023) for $190 ($10 off)

A different kind of DreamCamper

Barbie’s never been bigger but in my household, the preference runs strongly toward LOL Dolls which I would hesitate to attempt to describe beyond calling them mildly controversial alt-Barbies. I should probably be buying the LOL Surprise OMG Glamper Fashion Camper Deluxe Doll Playset right now as it’s half off and just $50.

This is a lightening deal from Amazon and it’s half claimed as of this writing.

I just bought a great Samsung tablet for $160!

This lip mask is worth every penny

Right now, you can pay 600 less pennies. The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask basically always sells for $24 unless it goes on sale, in which case it costs $18. Those sales happen around major shopping holidays, but not very often otherwise. I bought this lip mask on Prime Day in July 2023, and it’s still more than halfway full despite me using it almost every night. I love it so much that I keep it on my nightstand. It makes my lips feel less dry throughout the day and is especially nice now that it’s freezing out in northern Illinois and my lips are chapped more often than not. Listed ingredients include coconut oil, jojoba oil, and hyaluronic acid—so your lips feel hydrated immediately as well as hours after use. And in case you’re wondering, the jar is the perfect size for a stocking.

This HyperX headset’s battery won’t die until at least New Year’s

HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless

HyperX made a pact with an eldritch god to get 300 hours of battery life out of a single pair of headphones. And right now, they’re down to $120, the lowest price we’ve ever seen them.

That’s like…40 cents per hour of battery life. If you started using this headset today, for 8 hours every day, you wouldn’t have to charge it until 2024. Use it for 4 hours a day, and you’d probably make it to Valentine’s Day.

Give your back a break before you break it with these Branch standing desks

Take it from someone who’s spent way too much time at the doctor recently for back problems: You need to get up and move every once in a while. Personally, I hate the commitment of a permanent standing desk, but convertible desks like these from Branch let you go from standing to sitting and back super easily.

Branch Duo Standing Desk for $424 ($75 off)

The Duo Standing Desk has two height presets so you can quickly get up and stretch your back without too much hassle.

The larger Branch Standing Desk has even more options, with four height presets that you can customize to whatever suits you best. It also comes in larger desk space options, so you can get up to a 60-inch x 30-inch desktop.

Most of our favorite travel mugs are on sale—Stanley cups too

Right now, there’s a price war in the premium travel mug industry. Yeti, Stanley, and Hydro Flask are all offering big discounts on drinkware that you can find in our best travel mugs guide.

The coveted Stanley 40 oz tumbler with handle is not on sale, but it might well be worth buying if you were asked to purchase it by a TikTok-obsessed teen who will be horrified if you try to pass off something else. The HydroFlask above is even cheaper on Nordstrom than Amazon and is our runner-up pick. Reviewer Matt Jancer praised the powder coating that is one of the toughest she’s come across on a beverage container: “Whenever I can foresee some serious abuse happening to a coffee mug on a trip, I take a Hydro Flask.”

Hydro Flask Coffee Mug With Flex Sip Lid (16 Ounce) for $24 ($8 off)

Stanley 40 oz Tumbler with Handle for $45

This is the viral one that people really want. If you’re buying a gift for someone who asked for this specifically, it’s probably better to get the real deal than to try to buy anything else to save a few bucks.

Stanley Classic Stay Chill Vacuum Insulated Pint Tumbler for $19 (7 off)

You’re going to risk it to save $20, aren’t you? OK, this Stanley cup is also sorta popular!

Fellow Carter (16 Ounce) for $18 ($7 off)

Instead of a tiny sippy hole, the Carter’s screw-on cap reveals a wide tumbler that lets you breathe in your coffee’s aromas as you drink.

One of these Google smart displays is secretly a tablet.

Google makes some pretty solid smart displays that can show you what’s coming up on your calendar, remind you to feed the cat, and control your smart lights. I’ve got one in my kitchen and it’s a handy way to check out recipes or watch a YouTube video while I cook. Right now, the Google Nest Hub Max smart display is on sale for agonizingly close to an impulse-buy price.

Google Nest Hub Max Smart Display for $129 ($100 off)

There’s just one thing that always bothers me about my Google display: why can’t I just pick this thing up and take it with me when I leave the room? Google must’ve thought the same thing when they came up with the Google Pixel Tablet. This is an 11-inch tablet that comes with a dock that turns it into a smart display when you set it down. It’s the best of both worlds and, at this price, I’m tempted to finally upgrade.

Google Pixel Tablet With Charging Dock for $400 ($100 off)

Maingear’s MG-1 is all the gaming PC you’ll need.

Our full review of the Maingear MG-1 is still incoming, but we can say right now that we love it. If you’re intimidated by the thought of putting together a gaming PC yourself, Maingear simplifies the choice by narrowing it down to a few performance tiers you can choose from, all of which include an Nvidia 40-Series GPU. You can also tack on a customizable magnetic face plate for the PC, if you’re really into your own branding.

Maingear MG-1 Gold Bundle for $1,249 ($50 off, plus $250 in freebies)

All the models come with an extra 3-year warranty (which the company normally sells for $200), and the Gold model includes a free Assassin’s Creed Mirage game code. Upgrade to the Platinum or higher model and not only does the discount get larger, but Maingear will throw in Alan Wake II, a pretty fantastic immersive horror story game.

Maingear MG-1 Platinum for $1,649 ($150 off, plus $300 in freebies)

Maingear MG-1 Ultimate for $3,999 ($300 off, plus $300 in freebies)

Save space on your nightstand with a 3-in-1 charger

The best camp chair is $75 off

I just wrote about the Nemo Stargaze for my gifts for dads buying guide. It’s the best camp chair in the world, and it’s $75 off the typical price at Amazon right now. I have seen the price dip lower but it’s usually right up at $300.

The Nemo Stargaze is as much a hybrid hammock as it is a chair, with a seat that swings between the heavy-duty aluminum support posts. As the name implies, adjustable straps mean it can recline so that you can stare up at the starry night sky or fall asleep with a flask by the fire.

Here are a few other outdoor deals we’re excited about right now.

Smartwool Merino Sport T-Shirt for $44 ($11 off)

This merino wool t-shirt will keep you cool, warm, and not smelly.

Garmin Instinct 2S Solar for $300 ($100 off)

The Instinct 2S Solar (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is the best budget pick among sports watchs and has insanely good battery life.

The best flash drive you can buy is 25 percent off

SanDisk Extreme Pro (128 GB)

Anyone who trusts all of their data to the cloud and a computer hard drive is a liar, a fool, or both. We weren’t joking about thumb drive deals, the top two picks in our guide to the best thumb drives are both on sale for Cyber Monday.

Our top thumb drive pick after extensive testing is the SanDisk Extreme Pro which strikes the perfect balance between speed, reliability, and price. The device has a sleek and durable aluminum case with a loop for attaching it to a key ring. You can also save on the PNY Pro Elite, which is our runner-up and our favorite for phones, the iXpand Luxe.

SanDisk Extreme Pro for $10 ($10 off)

Here are two others to consider.

PNY Pro Elite V2 (256 GB) for $24 ($15 off)

The 256 gig version is just $24 on Cyber Monday but you can upgrade to the biggun, a full terabyte, for $90 which is $20 off the typical street price.

SanDisk iXpand (128 GB) for $31 ($9 off)

Our reviewer likes this model as a way of backing up photos and other files from your smartphone. It has a Lightning plug for iPhones and iPads at one end and flips to reveal a USB-C plug at the other, though thankfully this won’t matter much soon.

Take your Wi-Fi from zero to hero with a discounted Eero

Eero 6 Mesh System (3-Pack)

If you’re looking for an easy way to upgrade your Wi-Fi and you don’t have time to get technical, Eero’s mesh routers are among the easiest set-and-forget options around. You can dip into our Best Eero Mesh Router guide for advice on the best system for your home–they are all on sale right now. Amazon’s Eero systems are frequently discounted and we have seen these prices before, but they’ve never been lower.

Amazon Eero 6 Mesh Wi-Fi 3-Pack Router for $160 ($40 off)

And here are a few more great options.

Amazon Eero 6+ 3-Pack for $195 ($105 off)

If you want faster top speeds than the basic Eero 6 system, the Eero 6+ supports wider 160-Mhz channels that deliver them.

Amazon Eero Pro 6 3-Pack for $240 ($160 off)

For large and busy family homes, we recommend jumping up to the tri-band Pro 6 system. Each router can cover up to 2,000 square feet and internet speeds up to 1 Gbps.

Amazon Eero Pro 6E Mesh Router for $400 ($150 off)

The top of the Eero 6 range, this is the upgrade pick. It is another tri-band system, but it adds 6-GHz, alongside the usual 2.4-GHz and 5-GHz bands.

The best artificial Christmas tree is on sale

My artificial Christmas tree came from Bed, Bath & Beyond and I ordered it the day before the chain went, uh, beyond and I wasn’t sure it would ever arrive. However, our colleagues over at Architectural Digest spent a lot of time looking for the best fake Christmas trees and settled on the Balsam Hill Fraser Fir Tree. As they note, “To be honest, we can’t tell the difference between Balsam Hill’s faux version and the real thing. BH’s impressive ‘true needle’ foliage features 40 variations of branch types throughout and the effect is incredibly realistic.”

The 7.5-foot version is on sale for $850 right now. If it really makes no difference to you between a fake tree and a pine-scented candle versus a real tree, it’ll pay for itself in a few years. You can get the 6.5-foot version for just $330.

Balsam Hill Blue 6.5 foot Spruce for $330 ($220 off)

Balsam Hill for $849 ($550 off)

Power up your trips with big savings on Jackery’s portable power stations

This giant, amazing Harry Potter Lego Set is still expensive (but has never sold for less)

Legos are expensive, especially when they’re collectible. And if the Harry Potter Hogwarts Express set isn’t collectible, then I’m not sure what is. It always sells for $500 and when it goes on sale it drops to around $430. But right now it’s down to $350, which is the lowest price by far that we have ever tracked. Obviously, that’s still a ton of money, but if you’re the kind of person who wants to build a 5,000-piece train with minifigures galore and a tiny Platform 9 ¾, right now you can live out your dreams for cheaper than ever. Anything from the trolley?

Buy at Amazon for $350 ($150 off).
