Nigeria Police Put N50Million Bounty On Heads Of Two Bandit Kingpins Terrorising Katsina

The Nigeria Police has put a N50 million bounty on heads of two bandit kingpins terrorising Katsina.

According to the police, they want information that can lead to the arrest of the two bandits.

The police in Katsina State, northwest Nigeria in collaboration with the state government, has put a N50 million bounty on the heads of two bandit kingpins terrorising the state.

The two notorious who have reportedly made life a living hell for the people of the state and the adjoining ones are Modi Modi and Jan Kare.

According to a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, the duo were responsible for attacks in Kankara and Safana local government areas of the state.

Aliyu pledged that the identity of those who will provide the command with credible information about the hoodlums will be kept confidential to ensure their safety and protection.

He explained that police and other sister security agencies in the state were committed to taking decisive action against criminal elements threatening the peace and stability of the state.

He said: “The Katsina State Police Command wishes to announce a substantial reward of N50,000,000:00 to any individual who provides valuable information that will lead to the arrest of two bandits’ kingpins popularly known as Modi Modi, m, and Jan Kare, m, operating within Katsina State, particularly in the regions of Kankara and Safana Local Government Areas.

“This reward serves as a testament to our dedication to ensuring justice prevails, as the issue of security is a collective responsibility. This initiative aims to enhance security operations in our dear State and combat the activities of these criminal elements.”

The Command’s spokesman, however, appealed to residents of the state to provide relevant information that could assist the security agencies in tracking down the masterminds behind the “heinous crimes of Kidnapping and banditry.”
