• The Best MagSafe Phone Grip

  PopSockets grips are the best you can get. They’re classic for a reason. They just work, plus they come in such a huge array of styles that anybody should be able to find an option that they like. I’ve always loved PopSockets, and the MagSafe grips are even better than the old adhesive style. They’re sturdy enough that they keep my phone secure—I put this to the test in several bodies of water, using only my PopSocket to keep my phone above water, and it never faltered. But the magnets allow you to remove the grip if you need to charge wirelessly or simply want to go without for a while. If you want a MagSafe grip that works well and looks good, you cannot go wrong here. —Louryn Strampe

  Note: PopSockets recently debuted a new Low Pro lineup of MagSafe grips, and I don’t love them. They have a slimmer footprint, but the flexible grip makes your phone feel very floppy in your hand. I advise sticking to the traditional grips.

  The simplest and most practical accessory everyone should get is a MagSafe power bank. Gone are the days of needing to carry a cable around or fuss with a cable dangling out of your pockets as your power bank recharges your phone. Just slap these batteries on the back and let them do their thing.

  Anker’s MagGo Power Bank has a 10,000-mAh battery capacity, which can recharge an iPhone completely almost twice. It supports the Qi2 standard, meaning it will also play well with Qi2 Android phones, in case you’re in a mixed-device household. That also means it dishes out 15 watts for the fastest charging speeds possible on an iPhone. There’s a built-in kickstand, always helpful, and an LED on the side to let you know how much juice is left before the battery needs to be topped up via USB-C. —Jacob Roach

  MagSafe was designed to make wireless charging more efficient and faster. It’s not going to recharge your smartphone as quickly as plugging in a cable, but you’ll have more options to move the cable out of the way while charging, and you don’t have to plug anything in (it’s hard to be precise when you’re fishing for a USB-C cable in the dark!). The built-in cable on these MagSafe chargers is also typically longer than the ones that come with your phone, making them easier to use while charging.

  There are so many to choose from, and while I originally disliked Apple’s MagSafe Charger because it had a very short cable, the company revamped it. It now features a 2-meter cable (around 6.5 feet), so you don’t have to hug the wall while charging. It’s also Qi2-certified, meaning it’ll work perfectly with iPhones and will be compatible with upcoming Qi2 Android phones. —Julian Chokkattu

• A MagSafe Power Bank With Built-In Cables

  Still transitioning from the old Apple Lightning cables to USB-C? Me too—my daughter uses my old iPhone 14, and I seemingly bought the last pair of AirPods Max before they adopted the universal standard. I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max and an Apple Watch Ultra that’s pushing three years of age. It’s a lot of varied needs, but there’s one device that charges them all with zero hassle: The Ridge Magnetic Power Bank. This miracle MagSafe device clings tightly to the back of my current-gen iPhone (at 10,000 mAh, it will charge my Pro Max twice and have a little juice left over) and has a handy kickstand to turn it into a watchable screen.

  That’s nice, but what I appreciate even more is that it will also charge my watch and the older devices. If I’m going on a weekend trip, I can toss the Ridge in my bag and not worry about forgotten cables. It does recharge a little slower than my other power banks, but there’s a small digital screen so you always know where you stand, and it has enough capacity to handle a full day of re-ups, then recharge overnight. —Martin Cizmar

  This is one of the easiest MagSafe wallets to use. I could comfortably fit three cards inside. (If you have one of those fancy metal credit cards—look at you!—you can probably just fit two.) It’s easy to push them out, thanks to the gap on the side, and I didn’t have to take the wallet off the phone, which is often the case with MagSafe wallets that use a vertical sleeve. I vigorously shook the wallet, and my cards didn’t fall out, even when I only had one in there. It comes in a few designs and is made from vegan leather (aka plastic). —Jacob Roach

  I’ve tried several of these suction-cup-style mounts, and Zagg’s is the best. Many of these suction-cup MagSafe mounts lose their grip after a while, especially on textured surfaces. But Zagg addresses this problem in two ways. On the outside, or the side that attaches to a wall or mirror or window, there are two sizes of suction cups that will help it adhere more securely. And on the magnet side, which sticks to the back of your phone, there’s a MagSafe ring as well as a row of six suction cups. That helps ensure that your phone stays put and adds additional staying power while it’s mounted. I use this little mount to film get-ready-with-me videos, totaling up to an hour and a half in one testing instance, and it never faltered or wavered. It’s a boon for content creators who don’t want to carry around a tripod. —Louryn Strampe

  Moft’s Snap Flow is exactly the kind of fun I’m looking for in a MagSafe accessory. It’s a cute little notepad you can attach to the back of your phone to jot things down when inspiration strikes (or, you know, to keep that grocery list up to date). Sure, you can use Apple’s Notes app for all of that, but that’s boring. There’s even a little pen tucked inside, and you can fold it up to make it thicker for comfier writing. You can get replacement notes from Moft, even refills for the pen, plus you can swap the notes for sticky notes to leave thought-provoking quotes around town. —Julian Chokkattu

  3-in-1 Qi2 Charging Stand

  I love this treelike wireless charger. It saves so much space on my desk, and I can recharge my iPhone at the fastest 15-watt charging speed possible, along with an Apple Watch and AirPods. It’s a must-have for anyone who has all three of those devices (or any earbuds with wireless charging support). Belkin also has a pad version that adds MagSafe support for AirPods, but it takes up more room, and I much prefer the floating aesthetic. It’s like magic! —Simon Hill

  Snappy Mirror Grip Stand

  Could you theoretically check your reflection in your phone camera and be just fine? Sure. But what if you want to see if something is stuck in your teeth, or you need to get something out of your eye with precision, or you want to surreptitiously see if the barista is checking you out without whipping out your entire selfie camera? This little mirror is handier than you’d expect. It’s compact and can be folded out for a different viewing angle or to use as a kickstand. It doesn’t work well as a phone grip, so I just keep it in my purse for those times you need a mirror. Think classic compact, with a more modern-day twist. I figure I can also use it to send SOS signals in a pinch, so in my bag it stays. —Louryn Strampe

  If you’re always recording content, this MagSafe SSD might be right up your alley. It comes in 1- or 2-terabyte capacities and is surprisingly small and lightweight. It attaches to the back of your phone and includes a short USB-C cable that allows you to quickly transfer data at write speeds up to 950 MB/s. You can even record footage directly to the drive in 4K at 60 frames per second with Apple ProRes.

  I am not a massive iPhone cinematographer, but I like being able to record long vlogs or time lapses without worrying about my phone storage filling up. The drive has IPX5 water resistance and drop protection up to 3 meters, but it doesn’t feel as durable as other SanDisk drives. It can feel a bit slippery when you’re still getting used to it; a tripod or gimbal will help. Otherwise, just make sure to keep a good grip. —Louryn Strampe

  Snap Selfie Screen with Light

  Call me an auntie, but filming TikToks and Instagram Reels with my rear iPhone camera always freaks me out. What do I look like?! But the rear camera is noticeably better, no matter which phone you’re using. This selfie screen is a game-changer. It attaches to the back of your phone, plugs in via the included USB-C cable, and mirrors your rear camera, so you can see what you look like while recording with the higher-quality option. I noticed very little lag unless my phone was overheating in the sun. And the built-in light, which was designed in collaboration with a beauty company, has adjustable temperature and brightness so you can look great even in dim environments. My two complaints are that the cable isn’t fully detachable, which raises concerns about long-term durability, and I wish it had a sturdier housing. The included fabric cover helps to prevent scratches and accidental touches, but I like to store this in a dedicated pouch when I’m not using it.

  Note that you can save $10 by getting the version without the light, but I don’t think it’s a worthy trade-off. The point of this product is to capture great photos and videos, and having the option for more light is never a bad thing in those cases. —Louryn Strampe

• Best Travel-Friendly 3-in-1 MagSafe Wireless Charger

  I’m not entrenched in Apple’s ecosystem, but this wireless charger for ESR makes me wish I were. There are a lot of wireless charging stations that provide space for an Apple Watch, AirPods, and an iPhone or Qi2-compatible phone, but this one folds down small enough to fit in your pocket. Combined with a teeny 50W wall wart, it creates an ultra-portable charging setup when you’re traveling.

  ESR has a few different versions of this charger available, and the CryoBoost is the most expensive. That’s because it can provide up to 25 watts to the Qi2 charger. At full power, there’s an active cooling fan that spins up to keep everything from overheating. If you don’t need extra-fast charging, you can save $25 with the version that lacks the fan. —Jacob Roach

• A MagSafe Water Bottle

  Have you ever wanted a MagSafe stand built into a water bottle? Probably not, but Scosche went ahead and built one anyway. It’s weird, but don’t let that turn you off immediately. If you’re like me and carry your water bottle everywhere, now you can take it everywhere with a built-in MagSafe stand. I didn’t think I’d get much use out of it, but I’ve (against my will) started to love having a mount when I’m at the gym or driving around in my car.

  It certainly helps that the water bottle itself is decent, with a lead-free construction and both 32-ounce and 20-ounce sizes available. It’s a solid water bottle, but you also don’t have to use it. The cap where the MagSafe mount is installed works with a ton of water bottles from brands like Hydro Flask, Mira, and Simple Modern. —Jacob Roach

• A Great Workstation Companion

  

  The Desk Power Kit has been great for topping up my phone at my desk throughout the workday. It comprises three components: the Snap Grip, Snap Stand, and Snap Charge. The stand has a ball mount that moves smoothly and allows you to adjust your phone at any angle. That lets me keep an eye on notifications, take FaceTime calls, or stream YouTube videos. The base of the stand has a nanosuction adhesive on the bottom, so it’s sturdy and washable in case it gets dirty from moving it around to different locations. The Snap Charge is a wireless charging puck that magnetically attaches to the stand, transforming it into a charging dock. I like this because I can choose when to charge my phone, without losing the stand functionality. It supports Qi2, meaning more efficient and faster charging speeds, and it’ll work with Qi2 Android phones.

  OhSnap! sells each of these separately, but the kit includes the company’s Grip. You could just buy the stand and Snap Charge if you have another grip you like. That said, the grip is compatible with both the charger and stand, so you don’t have to remove it every time you want to attach it to either one. —Simon Hill

  I used this mount at an Apple event to put the iPhone on my full-size camera tripod. It came in clutch! This Creator Kit uses Peak Design’s SlimLink mount system, which adds a more secure layer over MagSafe, but this does mean you’ll need a Peak Design mobile case to take advantage. However, Creator Kit works with so many systems: GoPro mounts, 1/4-inch-20 mounts, Peak Design’s very own Capture Clip, and Arca tripods. It’s super easy to take the phone off the Creator Kit one-handed—push one of the buttons on the mount, and that’s it. —Julian Chokkattu

  This is probably one of the most unique cases you’ll come across, thanks to the built-in physical keyboard. The Clicks Case for the iPhone isn’t for everyone—you’ll want to commit to spending days, if not weeks, getting used to physical keys. But if you miss the days of tapping urgent messages into your old Blackberry, you’ll feel right at home here. It supports MagSafe, works with CarPlay (though you need to type in a code each time to get it to work), and you no longer will have a virtual keyboard hogging 50 percent of your iPhone’s screen. —Jacob Roach

  With my old bike mount, I had to wrangle rubber straps around my phone to secure it to my handlebars. It took a few minutes! With Peak Design’s Universal Bike Mount, the whole process takes a second. And it’s more secure than many other MagSafe mounts because it locks the iPhone in place. (You need to push a button to unlock it and remove the iPhone, but you can do it with one hand.) After many years and miles on roads of varying degrees of quality, my iPhone has yet to fall off. The caveat is that you have to use Peak Design’s Everyday Case for it to work with the mount. You can attach other MagSafe accessories to the back of the case just fine (and it still supports wireless charging). —Julian Chokkattu

  Compact and discreet, this vent mount has clingy prongs and a powerful array of magnets to ensure MagSafe-enabled iPhones don’t budge an inch, even on bumpy roads. It can wirelessly charge your iPhone at a maximum 15-watt rate. An adjustable ball joint allows you to angle your phone for a better view. The USB-C cable is long and permanently attached, and it comes with a plug-in charger for folks without USB-C ports in their car. I have an option for folks who prefer a dash mount below. —Simon Hill

• Twelve South’s Curve Nano won’t budge. It’s a slim travel stand for MagSafe and Qi2 devices, and nothing more. It’s not the features that count here, but the quality. I’ve been using the Curve Nano for weeks, and in between popping up my phone and nervously fiddling with the hinge, it still feels as buttery smooth as the day I unboxed it. It’s extremely portable, too. The Curve Nano collapses in on itself and becomes less than 8 mm thick when folded, and Twelve South even includes a slim travel case to keep the powder-coated finish (available in Dune, Coastal Blue, and Slate) looking fresh. —Jacob Roach

  Don’t have an Apple Watch? Get a 2-in-1 charger instead. If you want to charge AirPods or any other wireless earbuds with wireless charging support alongside your smartphone, this one has you covered. Belkin’s smart design lets you fold the whole thing up, making it great for travel. The second wireless charger on the back for wireless earbuds recharges at 5 watts, whereas the phone charger supports Qi2 25W, for the fastest wireless charging speeds when paired with Qi2 25W phones.   There are so many MagSafe tripods floating around, but the JustTap from KraftGeek has quickly become my favorite. That’s because it’s extremely portable while also offering a full 66 inches of height. It’s a portable tripod that can play the role of a full-size one, all with the convenience of MagSafe to quickly snap your phone on and off.

  As the name suggests, you just need to tap the tripod on the ground to open up the legs. You can adjust the height up anywhere in that 66-inch range, and there are a couple of hinges near the top if you need to position your phone at a strange angle. What really sold me on the JustTap, however, was the built-in remote. There’s a tiny Bluetooth remote that’s connected to the tripod magnetically, which you can snap out to remotely trigger your phone. —Jacob Roach

  While it might be better than it used to be, anyone who tries to say the Night Shift photo-taking experience on iPhone is good is delusional. These days I’ll fully take a selfie with the rear camera and flash on rather than try to get anything useful out of a dim environment and the front-facing camera of my phone. This tiny, rechargeable ring light adds some illumination without blinding everyone in the vicinity. There’s a little mirror in the middle that can help you out if you’re shooting using the rear camera, and the light has four brightness levels. I wish you could adjust the lighting temperature, but it’s a nice neutral white that has worked well for me. —Louryn Strampe
