Facecutbrown, also known as Brownfacecut (FBR), is the stage name of Ebuzor Chukwebuka Joseph, a Nigerian rapper, songwriter, producer, and actor originally from Imo State, Nigeria, and currently based in Engomi, Nicosia, Cyprus.
Born into a family with a strong connection to local entertainment, Facecutbrown developed a passion for music and performance from an early age. His mother was known for leading women in traditional dances accompanied by music, while his brothers were actively involved in playing and performing local music and gyration. Growing up surrounded by music, performance, and entertainment naturally shaped his creative identity and sparked his love for both singing and acting.
Facecutbrown holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from Imo State University, Owerri, which he completed in 2015. He subsequently served his country in Ogun State during his NYSC service in 2018/2019. In 2020, he moved to Europe to further his studies, but eventually chose to leave school and pursue his long-standing passion for music professionally.
Although he had been making music informally for many years, Facecutbrown officially began his music journey in 2025, releasing his first recorded track, I Can, as a mixed project. He followed this with his official debut single, “Boom,” released in January 2026, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
Musically, Facecutbrown describes his sound as raw, fearless hip-hop and rap, characterised by hard-hitting bars, dark energy, street-inspired storytelling, and an unapologetic delivery. His music is created for people who think differently, challenge limitations, and dare to stand out. While rooted in rap and trap, he also embraces versatility, incorporating Afrobeat and other influences into his sound.
His artistic influences include Lil Wayne, 2Face Idibia, and Kodak Black, whose different approaches to lyricism, storytelling, personality, and musical expression have contributed to his creative development.
What sets Facecutbrown apart is his strong and distinctive persona, fearless delivery, unapologetic lyrics, and willingness to explore different sounds. His music reflects both his experiences and his desire to connect with listeners who are navigating their own struggles and ambitions.
Among his notable projects are “Boom,” “I Can,” “Ama Ghangstar,” and “Warrior.” His latest release, “Take Me Home,” draws inspiration from a personal experience involving his girlfriend leaving for a long winter holiday and not returning as expected. The song demonstrates another side of Facecutbrown’s storytelling, bringing personal emotions and experiences into his music.
Beyond entertainment, Facecutbrown sees music as a platform for impact. His message is particularly directed toward young people, with themes centred around encouragement, resilience, determination, and staying focused on one’s goals. His ambition is to reach as many young people as possible, touch lives through his music, and become a source of hope and inspiration to those who need it.
With more music on the way, Facecutbrown is preparing to release his upcoming single “Higher Higher” on August 22, 2026. As he continues to build his career from Europe, he remains focused on developing his sound, reaching a wider audience, and using his creativity to inspire a generation.
Facecutbrown is more than a rapper; he is a songwriter, producer, actor, and storyteller with a message of resilience — an artist determined to turn his experiences, creativity, and voice into something that inspires others to keep moving forward.
