Even with the addition of the 10th-generation iPad, we still think the ninth-generation iPad (8/10, WIRED Recommends) from 2021 is the best iPad for most people. It has the same shape and size as its predecessors, so all current accessories will work, including the first-generation Apple Pencil and Apple’s Smart Keyboard. It retains the classic Home button with Touch ID plus thick borders around the 10.2-inch screen. This is the lowest price we’ve tracked.
The Apple Pencil is one of the most useful tools you can add to the iPad. The second-gen pencil works with nearly every iPad in Apple’s current lineup (except for the 9th- and 10th-gen iPad; if you have one, the first-gen Pencil is also on sale). It’s excellent for drawing, with an imperceptible delay as the Pencil moves across the glass display. Like a normal pencil, your lines get thicker as you press down harder. The Pencil is also great for navigating iPadOS, which has handwriting support in various search fields so you don’t need to switch to the keyboard to type. It pairs and charges automatically when you stick it to the edge of the slate.
Logitech’s Combo Touch case is detachable, so you can ditch the keyboard when you don’t need it and still have a kickstand case. It’s fairly slim, with a lovely fabric texture, and the kickstand easily passes the lap test—it didn’t wobble much or make the iPad fall off while you typed with it on your lap.
If you want a bigger screen for travel, the iPad Mini (8/10, WIRED Recommends) has the edge over its peers. The design mimics the iPad Pro, with slim bezels around the 8.3-inch screen. Its compact size makes it the best slate to take with you everywhere. You might even be able to fit it into your cargo pants. It has a USB-C port and works with the (superior) second-gen Apple Pencil.
The Motorola Razr+ (7/10, WIRED Review) is a cute, compact, and functional folding phone that revives Motorola’s iconic flip phone. There’s a 3.6-inch OLED screen on the front that’s big enough to be useful and you can flip it open to reveal a 6.9-inch screen inside. It’s a good performer that supports wireless charging, but the camera and battery life fall short, so it’s honestly all about how much you like the fold.
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S8 offers an 11-inch screen, great speakers, and the performance is awesome. Samsung’s DeX mode lets you go into a desktop-like environment to crank out some light work as well, which is a nice perk. We don’t like it as much as some of the new multitasking features in the OnePlus Pad though, but on sale, the S8 is a solid deal. The S8+, with its 12.4-inch OLED screen, is also on sale for $679 ($200 off). Just know that Samsung is expected to announce new tablets soon.
The Pixel 7A (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is the best Pixel phone for most people. It offers nearly every top-end feature you could want, including wireless charging, and a 90-Hz screen refresh rate. It’s powered by Google’s Tensor G2 chipset, which is the same one that’s inside the Pixel 7 Pro. It’s plenty fast for everyday tasks and most mobile gaming, and it also allows for a few new software tricks, like Photo Unblur, which can use machine learning algorithms to unblur people’s faces in those late-night pics.
Google continues to sell last year’s Pixel 6A (8/10, WIRED Recommends). It’s still an excellent value. especially at this price. It’s powered by Google’s first-gen Tensor chip, which means you’re getting some of the best performance for the money, and it supports all the same great (and helpful) software smarts. It’s got an OLED screen, a decent camera system, and lengthy software support. Battery life is just OK.
On the iOS side of the pond, the third iPhone SE (7/10, WIRED Recommends)has already earned our pick for best iPhone bang for your buck. It packs the same A15 Bionic processor in the iPhone 13, which is only a couple years old, so it’s extremely powerful for its price point. It has a 4.7-inch LCD screen, a physical button, Touch ID, and supports wireless charging. An impressive collection of features for such an inexpensive phone.
Google’s Pixel 7 Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is the most refined Pixel yet, and it remains the best value you can get in Android, especially at this price. The real value though is the camera, which is one of the best you can get at this price. Pixels will receive five years of security updates and three OS upgrades.
The Pixel 7 is probably the best flagship Android phone available at this price. It has an awesome camera and is powered by the same Tensor G2 chip as the Pro model, which adds some great features, like audio message transcriptions in Android Messages, and Photo Unblur, which deblurs old photos in Google Photos.
Samsung’s fourth-gen folding phones still have that futuristic feel. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) opens to feel like a small tablet and is packed with software trickery to make the most of the extra screen real estate. Even with the discount, this is a pricey phone. Just know that Samsung is poised to launch the Galaxy Z Fold5 at its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event.
This deal gets you the same great Pixel A Series phone above but also throws in a pair of Pixel Buds A-Series (8/10, WIRED Recommends) wireless headphones for an all-in-one package deal. The Pixel Buds A-Series usually go for around $80 at Amazon.

Prime Day Deals on Amazon Devices
We have device deals roundups for Amazon, Google, and Apple products.
Many of the best Prime Day deals are on Amazon’s own hardware. Our favorite speaker for the bedroom, the Echo Dot makes a great alarm clock. It’ll wake you up to your favorite playlists and read you the weather while you relax in bed.
The 4th gen Echo is our favorite Alexa speaker. It offers room-filling sound with good detail and a 3.5-mm output for connecting to larger speaker systems. Our only gripe is that, despite listening to you 24/7, Alexa is still not great at picking up commands when loud music is playing. This deal includes a free LED bulb.
The newest member of Amazon’s Echo lineup, the Echo Pop (7/10, WIRED Review) is loud enough for its size and works well on a desk or tabletop. It comes in some fun colors that you won’t find on other Echo speakers, but it does have weaker bass and doesn’t sound as good as the similarly cheap Echo Dot. If you like the look though, it fits in some places the Dot won’t.
We think the Echo Show 8 is the best choice in the Echo line for most people. The 8-inch size is a great size, it’s not hard to read recipes in the kitchen, and big enough to watch movies on, but it doesn’t take up the entire counter. It has the same pixel density as the larger Echo Show 10, so it’s a sharp screen.
While we prefer the 8-inch Echo Show, the 10-inch model sits on top of a large cylindrical speaker, which gives it great sound. The screen physically swivels to follow you around the room as you use it, keeping you in the frame while you video chat. Because the screen moves around so much, it can be hard to find a good spot; avoid corners as it tends to bump into walls.
Amazon’s Echo Studio offers the biggest, boldest sound you’ll find in an Alexa device. With 350 watts of power and a downward-firing subwoofer, it’s more than enough for most of us. It even listens and adjusts the sound to fit your space. There’s an upward-firing midrange speaker in addition to two side-facing ones, which makes the Echo Studio capable of playing 3D audio codecs like Dolby Atmos.
Amazon’s latest 11-inch FireMax tablet did not wow us. We still prefer this older 10-inch model (7/10, WIRED Review) The Fire HD 10 has a larger screen with more pixels (1080p) than its smaller siblings, making it better for watching videos. You can shout commands at Alexa from across the room and use Alexa’s Show Mode. There’s a keyboard available as well if you want to try to use it for productivity. The base model is also on sale for $75, but we suggest going for the extra RAM of the Plus model. With all the Fire HD tablets, the extra $5 is worth it to get it without lock screen ads.
We might not have been impressed by this tablet, but this is still a great deal, and the build quality is Amazon’s best yet. Thanks to Amazon’s Fire OS, this tablet is best for consuming Amazon’s content and not much else. The good news is that it performs faster than any Amazon tablet that came before.
Amazon has quite a few Kids Edition Fire tablets, not only are there two sizes (8 inch and 10 inch), there’s the regular Kids Edition and a “Pro” model aimed at older kids. Our favorite for kids under 10 is the Fire HD 8 Kids, while the Fire HD 10 Kids Pro (also on sale for $120 ($80 off)) is better for older children. The Kids Edition versions are exactly the same as the regular Fire tablets, except they come with a rugged case and a two-year worry-free guarantee, which means Amazon will replace the tablet for free if your kids break it. You also get one year of Amazon Kids+. Be sure to see our guide to managing Amazon Kids+ content.
The 2022 Fire HD 8 (6/10 WIRED Review) is the more travel-friendly-size tablet in the Fire lineup. It’s nearly as fast as the 10-inch model. The big difference is the screen, which isn’t nearly as nice as the larger model—pixels are often still visible and movies feel flat.
With 2 gigabytes of memory, the Fire Stick 4K Max is fast, and the Alexa voice remote works well. It’s our favorite Amazon TV device. As you’d expect, Fire Sticks are geared toward Amazon Prime content. Apps for other streaming services are there, but if Amazon Prime isn’t one of your most-used streaming services, you should go with something else. This deal is the lowest price we’ve seen since Cyber Monday 2022.
We like the Paperwhite version better, but if you want to save some money, the base model Kindle gets the job done. It’s the smallest of the lot at 6.2 inches tall and 4.3 inches wide, with a 6-inch screen. It now has a USB-C port for charging too. What you lose is the waterproofing and warm, auto-adjusting light for the Paperwhite.
We think most people will like the Kindle Paperwhite the best out of all Amazon’s e-readers. The waterproof Kindle went from one to three models last year, which makes the decision a little more difficult than it used to be. The screens are bright and offer adjustable warm lighting. Only the Signature can auto-adjust that brightness to your surroundings, but for most people, this base model is the best deal.
The Kids Edition Paperwhite offers everything the adult version has, but you also get a year’s subscription to Amazon Kids+. It also comes with a case and a two-year no-questions-asked replacement guarantee. This guarantee is the reason to buy a Kids Edition Kindle. If your kid damages, you get your money back. We also like an ebook reader with zero access to social media, making it a better choice for children than a tablet. There is a web browser, but it’s restricted by default and you can completely disable it.

We have many more Laptop and Home Office Deals, expertly picked by our reviewers.
This Macbook Pro runs Apple’s powerful new M2 Pro processor, making it so speedy we were able to use it to edit RED Raw footage. It packs 16 gigabytes of memory and a 512 gigabyte SSD inside its 16-inch display. If you don’t need a laptop quite that big, the 14-inch model is also on sale for $1,799.
This is Apple’s first laptop running its new in-house M processors. The 2020 Macbook Air (9/10, WIRED Recommends) might be a few years old, but it’s still WIRED reviewer Eric Ravenscraft’s daily driver. It’s powerful enough to get through everyday work and even do some minimal video editing.
The 13-inch Macbook Pro is one of the few M2 laptops that still comes with the divisive Touch Bar. It gets excellent battery life and the M2 processor is even more powerful than the already-impressive M1 in the above Macbook Air. If you like the Touch Bar, then this is the one we recommend, but if not, we recommend one of the other options.
Lenovo’s AMD-based IdeaPad comes with a Ryzen 5 processor and is a great budget laptop. You get plenty of power, a nice 14-inch IPS display, 16 gigabytes of RAM, and a 256-gigabyte SSD. The 360-degree hinge converts it to tablet mode or stand mode for watching movies. To take full advantage of the 2-in-1 design, be sure to grab the digital pen ($40), although there’s no place to store it. The screen could also be brighter.
The Acer Nitro 5 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is one of our favorite budget gaming machines. This model uses an Intel Core i5-12500H chip and offers 16 GB RAM, a 512-GB SSD, and Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050Ti graphics card. It’s not a huge saving, but this is a good buy at this price.
This is a stripped-down, and dare I say, cute little laptop that is to the Surface Laptop as the Surface Go 2 is to the Surface Pro. That is, the “Go” moniker means the emphasis is on portability and price, not power. The Surface Laptop Go 2 won’t wow you by acing benchmark tests, but it is portable and stylish. And it’s a lot of fun to use.
This is the previous model of LG’s ultra-thin Gram laptop. It offers a 12th-generation Intel Evo i7 processor (1260P), 16 gigabytes of RAM, a 1-terabyte SSD, and a bright, sharp 16-inch display (2,560 x 1,600). The screen is large enough to work in multiple windows, and the processor is powerful enough to support multiple applications without bogging it down. Did I mention it’s lightweight (just 2.6 pounds)?

Headphone Prime Day Deals
For more picks, check out our full roundup of Headphone and Speaker deals for Prime Day.
The Pixel Buds A-Series (8/10, WIRED Recommends) are our favorite wireless earbuds for most people. The listening time matches Apple AirPods at five hours, and you get an IPX4 sweat-resistance rating for workouts. They also pair instantly with Android devices, and Google Assistant integration is excellent. The egg-shaped case adds an extra 19 hours of listening time.
The Google Pixel Buds Pro (9/10, WIRED Recommends) are excellent earbuds for Android users looking for a simple user experience akin to Apple’s AirPods Pro. You get noise-canceling tech, beam-forming microphones, eight hours of battery life, and a wireless charging case for $140—hard to beat that. These buds are also super comfortable to wear and come in fun colors.
This is the lowest price we’ve seen this year on these Sony wireless headphones (9/10, WIRED Recommends). They’ve got top-tier noise-canceling, fantastic audio processing, and 30 hours of battery life. They’re also light and comfortable. See our Best Noise Canceling Headphones guide for more.
Reviews editor Julian Chokkattu loved this record player so much, he raved about it. The suitcase turntable is usually pretty affordable, but this Prime Day discount takes the cake for the lowest price we’ve seen. The Re-Spin can play vinyl and features Bluetooth connectivity as well as a built-in speaker for streaming music from your phone.
These Jabra earbuds are sleek and comfy. The sound quality, noise-canceling tech, and mic quality are also excellent, and they come with a special grip on the outside of the buds to keep them in your ears. You also get eight hours of battery life and a two-year warranty.
These are our top overall wireless headphones. Sony has been making excellent headphones for years and the WH-1000XM5 (9/10, WIRED Recommends) are no exception, even if the name is a mouthful. They have good mics, a sleek design, comfy earcups, and stunning sound. This is the lowest price we’ve ever tracked on Sony’s flagship cans.
These wireless Beats are some of the best workout buds you can buy. With nine-hour battery life and a good, tight fit they’ll get you through your workouts. They also have excellent sound, smart play and pause, and good noise isolation. They work with Android and iOS devices, though iPhone owners will get access to a few additional features.
I’ve been using the same desktop speakers for nearly 20 years, but these were the ones that finally convinced me to upgrade. The SteelSeries Arena 7 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) produce robust sound and come with built-in RGB LEDs that sync up with the SteelSeries GG app. This set also comes with a massive subwoofer that can sit under your desk.
The Polk Audio Signa S4 soundbar is surprisingly simple for the power it packs. The Dolby Atmos-enabled bar produces room-filling audio that you can easily tweak with simple Cinema, Night, and Music modes. It’s our top pick for soundbar-subwoofer combo for a reason.

Prime Day Deals for Your Home
For more, read our guide to the Best Kitchen and Smart Home Deals and TV Deals.
This is the lowest price we’ve ever seen on Roborock’s midrange Q5+ (9/10, WIRED Recommends), our favorite robot vacuum. It’s nimble enough to dodge furniture and avoid stairs that tripped up other bots in our tests. It methodically maps your house and doesn’t miss a thing. The onboard bin is a bit small, but that’s not a deal breaker.
The Samsung Jet Bot AI+ looks like a miniature spaceship. It has some of the best navigation we’ve seen. It’s also relatively quiet and does its work pretty quickly. If you can get over the size of both the vacuum (5 inches high) and the docking bin (21 inches high), it’s a great vac at this price.
As other mapping robot vacuums have gotten exponentially better, Eufy’s maps have stayed … well, just a little wonky in our testing. However, this powerful twin-turbine vacuum is perfect for basements with a lot of kids and dogs that need deep cleaning.
These days, you don’t need to spend a fortune to get a fantastic TV. This mid-tier model from TCL features quantum dot technology and support for every major high dynamic range (HDR) format for gorgeous colors. It’s the top pick in our Best TVs guide.
This Sony speaker’s three up-firing drivers shoot sound all around your room rather than shooting audio straight at your ears, like most Bluetooth speakers. It also comes with Google Assistant and Alexa, plus Wi-Fi support, so you can shout your commands to it too.
This is one of our favorite TVs in the last year, thanks to excellent processing, Google interface, and mini-led backlighting. You get a bright TV with excellent contrast and easy casting via Chromecast. The only thing you may dislike? The legs, which are a bit stork-like for many consoles. This discount isn’t unique for Prime Day, but we wanted to highlight it because it is at a low.
Vizio makes some of the best affordable soundbar systems on the market, and I’m a big fan of this typically $500 model in particular. You get a subwoofer, surround speakers, and a soundbar that bounces sound off your ceiling for Dolby Atmos height channels. It’s a shockingly immersive system for such a low price, and one that will really take your viewing to the next level if you’ve yet to spring for a soundbar.
The white color is the only one still on sale. The Branch Verve Chair is the runner-up in our Best Office Chairs guide—right behind the Branch Ergonomic Chair. It has a more elegant, refined look, can make nearly the same adjustments. and is quite comfortable. WIRED reviews editor, Julian Chokkattu, said it keeps his back straighter too.
Shopping for a better office chair? The Steelcase Gesture is our pick for an upgraded desk chair, and it’s on sale now to make it a little less of a splurge. It’s comfortable no matter which way you sit in it and has several fabrics you can choose from (though the fabric isn’t as breathable as other office chairs). Steelcase offers one of the best warranties around.
This is our favorite budget standing desk and it has been working reliably for a few years now. The setup is a little complicated, but the desktop feels sturdy and elegant, despite being made of environmentally-friendly chipboard. You can save three height presets.
Laptop webcams work best when combined with bright light. If you want to look better during Zoom calls, add a lamp like this one, which clamps to your desk frame. There are several brightness levels and color temperature controls, plus you can adjust the actual angle of the light so it doesn’t cast shadows down your face
Happy Planner makes some of the best planners around. No matter how many different options WIRED reviewer Medea Giordano has tried, she always goes back to this brand and has branched into its notebooks too. The perfect one is up to you, but several different options are discounted.
This camera from Arlo is one of the best Indoor Security cameras you can buy. The compact design makes it fit just about anywhere and it offers clear video and two-way audio. Cloud storage requires a subscription (starting from $5 per month), but the accurate subject detection and smart alerts it unlocks are top-notch.
Compact, versatile, and cheap, the Blink Mini offers good-quality video, two-way audio, accurate motion detection, activity zones, and integration with Alexa. It worked reliably well in our testing, the problem is that you need a subscription (from $3 per month), and it can’t distinguish between pets and people. See our other favorites in our Best Security Camera guide.
If your home is controlled by Google Assistant, or you use a Google Chromecast, the best outdoor security camera for you is the Nest Cam. It just has a simple mounting plate to install, so it’s a good choice for both homeowners and renters alike. It has a 130-degree field of view, HDR, night vision, a microphone, and a clear speaker. Like other Nest Cams, you’ll need a Nest Aware subscription, which starts at $6 per month for 30 days of event video history.
The Nest Wifi Pro (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is one of the best mesh routers for folks looking for simplicity. If you just want your internet to work reliably and can’t be bothered to tweak settings, Google’s pill-shaped mesh routers will suit you. They use the 6-GHz band for backhaul and double up as smart home hubs with built-in Thread radios, Bluetooth LE (low Energy), and Matter support.
This is our favorite smart display which, admittedly, isn’t a crowded market. The Google Nest Hub Max packs pretty solid speakers and a camera for video calls inside a 10-inch display. The included Google Assistant lets you look up recipes, watch videos, or check your video doorbell all with your voice.
This Chromecast (8/10, WIRED recommends) is a great streaming device. It adds a remote—a much-needed companion—plus built-in Google TV so you don’t ever have to touch your phone to cast content. Google TV got an upgrade too, and its interface is now nicer than Roku’s, though it can be sluggish now and then. You can browse and search across platforms, so you can find where a specific title is streaming. You can still cast from your phone or laptop if that’s what you prefer.
This is a small step down from our best overall streaming stick pick. It features the same collection of streaming apps, voice control remote, and support for 4K HDR video. Our top pick, the 4K Plus, is a little faster, but this one is still zippy enough and streams 4K video well enough that it should be an upgrade over whatever your TV came with.
There are a lot of Amazon-offered streaming services on sale during Prime Day, but Britbox is one of the best. No one makes a cozy, slow-paced mystery series better than the people in the UK. For more picks, check out our Best Streaming Services guide.
These are the best organic cotton sheets we’ve tested. They’re soft, but not overly silky, which is a feeling I don’t care for (if you do, check out Avocado’s organic sheets). The Brooklinen organic cotton sheets are made from Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)-certified organic cotton. They’re also Oeko-Tex certified, which means they’re tested for and do not contain any known toxic chemicals. The 300 thread count makes this plenty crisp and soft but isn’t so tight that you end up sleeping hot. These are a great choice for summer or if, like me, you sleep on the warm side even in winter.
The Mint all-foam mattress is our favorite for pressure relief. You’ll sink right in, but it’s also supportive and feels good on our sore backs. And it’s cooling. This is also the lowest price we’ve tracked recently—even lower than the $1,197 price we saw on Cyber Monday.
If you want a camera-free version of our favorite smart display, and don’t mind a smaller screen, now’s the time to strike. The second-gen Nest Hub (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is small enough to fit on small side tables and spaces, and if you add it to your bedside table, it can even track your sleep.
If you want to feel fancy with a Dyson Corrale (8/10, WIRED Recommends), it doesn’t go on sale often. Its flexing plates quickly get your hair straighter with less heat—they curve around the hair, avoiding the splaying-out effect and uneven heat distribution that plague other flat irons. Still, it has flaws for a $500 hair straightener. It can be used without a cord, but the battery life is too short to straighten my whole head of hair. The onboard battery also makes it quite heavy.
Paul Mitchell’s flat iron proves that the right tool makes a difference. WIRED reviewer Medea Giordano has seen it work its magic on several different hair textures and curl patterns and says “it’s worth every penny.” The plates on this Ion Style+ model are 1 inch, which is a pretty good size for straightening, as well as creating a natural-looking curl.
The RevAir (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is the best hair tool Medea Giordano has ever used. It’s basically a hair Shop-Vac and it’s very expensive, but it takes all the work out of straightening your hair. You might need to follow it up with a flat iron depending on your hair texture, but if you constantly straighten your hair, this is something to consider.
If you want the convenience of a cordless flat iron but don’t want to spend $400 on the Dyson, consider the Aesty. We thought it was still too expensive, but it straightened our hair nicely and it’s rarely on sale—this is one of the lowest prices we’ve tracked.
This sleek smart floor lamp practically disappears into the wall when it isn’t on. When it is, the light is actually a long light strip you point at the wall to create a diffused array of colors. You can use the Govee app to sync the lights to music or a movie, choose from a huge variety of colors, and create scenes. It comes with a remote and is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
We thought the price tag on this comfortable wearable breast pump (8/10, WIRED Recommends) was a little scary, but the convenience was worth it. It’s even more worth it at this discount.
We like a lot of Girlfriend Collective’s comfortable lounge and activewear, so the Paloma bra caught our team’s eye. It’s made of 79% recycled plastic bottles and 21% spandex, machine washable, and Reviews associate editor Adrienne So has clicked Buy Now before I could finish writing this paragraph.
Yeti’s Rambler 20-ounce insulated tumbler is one of our favorite travel mugs. It isn’t stackable like our favorite Rambler, but it is bigger. So long as you have the cupboard space to store it, they’re great vacuum mugs that’ll keep your drinks cold or hot for hours. The only catch is that not all colors are on sale, but if you don’t mind a purple or yellow mug, this is a good deal.
The Hero10 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) has been replaced by the Hero11, but this older model is still a great camera. The deal is for a bundle, which gets you two batteries and a case in addition to the camera and mounts. Unfortunately, neither of these batteries is GoPro’s newer, longer-lasting, Enduro battery, but at least you get two. This is the lowest price (by $30) that we’ve ever seen on this bundle.
You should get your own personal water filter while the getting is good. This is just $2 more than the best price we’ve ever seen on it. For some inexplicable reason, WIRED readers seem to really love these discounts, which don’t pop up too often. The straw’s built-in filter cuts out 99 percent of gross bacteria, parasites, microplastics, dirt, and other nonsense. Stash them in your zombie apocalypse bag or hiking pack and you’ll be able to stay hydrated without worrying about anything (except the zombies).
I know what you’re thinking: it’s the height of summer, who cares about umbrellas? You will as soon as the weather turns, which is why you should get our favorite umbrella while it’s on sale—and before you wish you had one when a storm rolls into town.
Our favorite window air conditioner rarely goes on sale. Midea’s U-Shaped AC (8/10, WIRED Recommends) still lets you open the window after you install it and is one of the quietest we’ve tested. It cools down a room quickly and works with Alexa and Google Assistant to let you control it via your voice.
If you have a cat, the Petivity Monitor (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is a good investment. Sometimes cats get sick and you don’t know until it’s too late, but you can get ahead of it if you just caught their bathroom habits early enough. This sits underneath a litter box and tracks which cat goes to the bathroom when, and what they did when they went there. It doesn’t work with automatic boxes, and it’s not always perfect. Sometimes we need to reboot it or update the app if we find it’s not as accurate. Still, for peace of mind, we like it.
Score one of the best electric scooters you can for a steal. It already offered some of the best range for the money, meaning it’s even better value right now. WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu frequently got around 15 miles out of the scooter, and found it to be a comfy ride with its 9.5-inch tubeless tires.
This fast-folding escooter (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is well-built and reliable. It’s not too heavy either, which makes it easy to fold and carry. Thanks to the 450-watt motor it’ll go more than 20 mph. We don’t like the lack of turn signals or the lack of speed options, but there are relatively small flaws for an otherwise good scooter.
Moment’s Tote is WIRED writer Jaina Grey’s favorite. Not only does it have pockets within pockets that can fit everything from a laptop and e-reader to multiple water bottles, but distributes the weight nicely to keep you free of shoulder pain no matter how much you shove into the bag.
We’re big fans of most of Moment’s bags and organizational accessories, and this deal is a great chance to snag a bundle of each. It includes the MTW backpack, Everything Camera Insert, Tech Organizer pouch, and Battery Organizer Pouch. It’s honestly a one-stop shop for everything you need to take care of your camera gear whether you’re at home or on the road.
This is our favorite everyday camera backpack. It’s relatively affordable and comes in a wide array of colors. There’s a quick-access pocket on the side for on-the-go photography or videography, and the rear pocket keeps your laptop protected and close to your body.
Baloo’s weighted throw is one of our favorite weighted blankets and we only saw it reach this price once this year. It’s thin and small, and yet sufficiently heavy at 12 pounds. We love the crispy cool cotton, and the entire thing can be machine washed. But Baloo offers linen covers too, if you prefer.
If you struggle with anxiety, being smushed under a 20-pound weighted blanket might help. Luna weighted blankets are some of our favorites made of crisp cotton and offer a wide range of sizes and weights. In the world of weighted blankets, the Luna is a bargain.
The Wise Owl Hammock is a favorite of WIRED Commerce director Martin Cizmar. It’s spacious and easy to set up, and durable enough to stand up to any critters that might come around to chew on your hammock while you’re lounging.
One of our favorite STEM toys for kids, these Magna-Tiles provide endless fun. These translucent tiles click together to form two- or three-dimensional shapes. Your child can use them to build complex creations or simple houses just to smash back to pieces.
Whether you’re having an impromptu game night with friends or you need something to cure your boredom, having a few games on hand is always helpful. Amazon has a huge selection of puzzles and board games on sale right now to consider. Some highlights include the Cards Against Humanity Ultimate Expansion for $103 ($27 off), Dice Forge for $39 ($17 off), and Ticket to Ride for $30 ($25 off).
We’ve never tested this particular model for our portable power guide, but I have used quite a few Jackery power station over the years and have always found them to be an excellent value. They’re not the fanciest power stations, but they get the job done. My only gripe is that Jackery uses a proprietary solar input plug and I wish it was something standard, like an Anderson connector.
I don’t have hard data on this, but I suspect that most people plug their “solar” generators into the wall and recharge them that way. I get it. It’s practical and easy, but so is setting up this solar panel. It’s easy to carry, the foldout legs keep it stable at a variety of angles, and it packs up nice and small for storage. As with the power station above, my only gripe is that Jackery uses an oddball proprietary plug. That’s fine if you’re only using Jackery products, but if you want to mix and match with other gear you’ll need adapters, which are annoying and sometimes flimsy.
Very few people need this much power. This is only a few amp hours and solar watts short of what I live on full time, with no other power source. Which is to say, this is a lot of power storage and a lot of power gathering solar goodness at a fantastic price, but you probably don’t need it. Still, this deal is so good I had to include it. You are getting a great value with this one.
Dehumidifiers are a great way to stay cool without air conditioning. We’re a fan of Frigidaire’s other smaller dehumidifiers, and while we haven’t tested this one, this is a great deal for a larger 50-pint size.
This air purifier from Coway is our pick for most living rooms. It captures 99.999 percent of particulates, making it capable of handling heavy air problems like big-city pollution or even wildfire smoke. It’s also got a classic design that feels retro in a way that’s uncommon but stands out today.
This is our favorite tabletop air purifier— its compact size makes for an excellent nightstand or desk companion. With a 360-degree HEPA filter that cleans rooms up to five times per hour when placed in an 80-square-foot room and two times an hour in a room up to 200-square feet, it’s best for smaller spaces. It comes equipped with a built-in adjustable nightlight and whisper-quiet setting (so it won’t disrupt your sleep) and it has three speeds (low, medium, and high), along with an optional timer. It’s also at the lowest price we’ve tracked, yet.
WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu has been using this rolling desk for quite some time and says it’s been a reliable addition to his home. It’s not electric, but you can use the pedal underneath the desktop to raise and lower the table. Because the table leg is on one side, it’s great to pair with a bed or couch, so you can have access to a stable surface without needing to scoot to the edge.
This is our favorite office chair for most people. It’s comfy, has all the adjustable features you’d want, and the mesh back does a great job of keeping you cool. Read more about it in our Best Office Chairs guide.
These are Crocs. On platforms. Covered in glitter. You’ve already made your decision.
This is the best price we’ve seen this year on the Bissell Little Green Portable Carpet Cleaner. The first time WIRED Gear Team reviewer Brenda Stolyar used it to clean her living room rug and upholstered office chair, the Bissell’s tank (which houses all the dirt it pulls) was filled with black, murky water. Gross. It’s super useful to have around to maintain your furniture, and you can stow it away in a closet when you’re done.
The Colgate Hum (9/10, WIRED Recommends) sonic brush is our favorite smart toothbrush. Slim and light, the small brush head easily reaches the back of your mouth without causing discomfort. A companion mobile app offers insight into your habits. The Hum costs significantly less than most app-connected brushes, and the mobile app’s features are superior to its competitors. We have seen the black color as low as $23, but most colors hover around $42.
We like the short version of this Yeti insulator, the only difference here is that the version that’s on sale is for 16 ounce cans or bottles. That means your tall boys and energy drinks will fit and stay cool longer.
The Gotrax Apex is our favorite budget scooter. It’s lighter than most and easy to fold up. It has an integrated bell and a digital display that shows your speed and battery life, and it can go up to 15 mph. It’s not the smoothest ride and range isn’t great, but it’s a solid option if your budget is tight.

Our Kitchen and Smart Home Deals guide has more picks.
KitchenAid stand mixers are pricey, but if you like to bake, they’re worthwhile long-term investments (which is why they’re in our Buy It for Life guide). A stand mixer is really just a motor, which is why the KitchenAid is more expensive. It’s just a better motor than most other mixers. The mixer isn’t just a mixer either. You can harness that motor to whip eggs, cream butter, knead dough, grind meat, stuff sausages, and myriad other tasks.
The Primula Moka Pot is a stovetop coffee/espresso maker that can brew up a very strong shot of coffee in no time. This quintessential moka pot typically costs around $18. WIRED reviewer Jaina Grey says she’s had several over the years not because they failed or broke, but because they would get lost in a move and replacement was essential.
We love the Raddish Kids cooking club subscription. The recipes are easy for little kids to follow (WIRED senior associate reviews editor Adrienne So’s children particularly loved making pretzels). The kids also get adorable tiny utensils perfect for tiny hands (and for moms who just like using tiny things).
Stasher bags are a silicone replacement for single-use ziplock bags. There are a bunch of sizes, everything from bags for sandwiches and snacks, to freezer-size options. They’re dishwasher-, freezer-, and microwave-safe. They even work for sous vide cooking. We like this bundle deal if you’re just getting started, but you can see all the Stasher deals here.
This is one of the best deals we’ve seen on our favorite espresso machine. The Breville produces consistent pressure for espresso, steams milk with an easily adjustable steam wand, and even grinds beans for you. It’s a coffee shop that lives on your countertop. It lasts too. WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu has been using one with no issues for five years.
Kicking Horse coffee is rich and flavorful, and you can probably find it at your grocery store when you run out. It’s great for espresso, pour-over, and drip. It’s a great all-around coffee to have in your cupboard.
If you can spend the money, this is the best overall espresso machine. It’s built to last, and stylish without taking up your entire counter. The Mio has a modern PID (proportional-integral-derivative) controller for monitoring the internal temperature, which is unusual for this price range
This is the slightly fancier version of the Breville Barista Express above. The Impress (6/10, WIRED Recommends) is a solid machine well worth considering for the home barista. It offers more grind and dosing settings than the Express, and automates some of the more complicated parts of brewing consistently good espresso, like getting just the right amount of beans ground per shot. It even has a handy tamping lever for making sure your grounds get tamped perfectly.
It’s not a huge discount, but this is our favorite cold-brew coffee maker. It makes about 32 ounces of coffee in one go. All you need to do is put coarse grinds into the basket and slowly pour water through it. Then let it sit at room temperature or in a fridge for 24 hours. That’s it.
We’re not huge fans of automatic espresso machines, but the Affetto is an exception. It features a built-in steaming wand, produces 20 bars of pump pressure to ensure your espresso is fully extracted, and is a slick little machine. It’s slim and fits comfortably on a small apartment countertop without having to rearrange everything.
The best way to ditch K-cups, this full-pot coffee maker can capably make single cups as well. The Braun MultiServe (8/10, WIRED Review) It’s not quite as simple as a Keurig machine, but it eliminates some plastic from your life, which is always a win, and it makes a darn fine cup of joe.
This deal is part of All-Clad’s Factory Seconds sale, offering discounts for dishes with minor blemishes.
This 6-quart pan is one of the most versatile pans we recommend. You can sauté with it and the high walls keep grease from escaping. You can use it like a flat-bottomed wok, and it can even replace a saucepan. It’s also both oven and dishwasher safe.
The copper core on this All-Clad fry pan makes it sturdy and less prone to warping than other stainless steel pans. Its stick-resistant stainless steel makes it one of the best heat-conducting pans we’ve tested outside of a full cast-iron skillet.
Despite its seemingly paradoxical name, the Ninja Air Fryer XL is a great pick if you want an air fryer that doesn’t take up much space in your kitchen. It has a 5.5-quart ceramic-coated non-stick basket and is perfect for frying things like chips and fries, on top of an excellent Bake function that our team used to even make a small chocolate cake.
If you don’t have a cast iron skillet already, it’s worth adding to your kitchen’s arsenal. These things will last a lifetime and each one develops its own personality the longer you use them as it builds up its unique seasoning. This 12-inch skillet from Lodge is a standard, spacious model for all your frying needs.
The Dutch oven is one of the kitchen’s most versatile cooking tools. You can bake bread, simmer stews on the stovetop, roast chicken, and cook up casseroles. European legacy brands cost an arm and a leg, but this American-made Lodge cooks as well as any of them. The non-stick, enameled surface makes clean-up a breeze, and since you don’t have to immediately re-oil it after cleaning, like with a bare cast-iron piece of cookware, it takes less effort to maintain too.
The Instant Pot isn’t just a pressure cooker these days. This model can also slow cook, handle rice, make yogurt, steam veggies, warm food, sauté things in a pinch, and act as a sterilizer. That’s an impressive resume for a device that isn’t all that big. See our Best Multicookers guide for more options.
We haven’t tested this eight-quart version, but we love the six-quart version of the Instant Pot Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends) and think it’s the best multicooker you can buy. Both are 10-in-1 devices that can do everything from pressure cooking and sous vide to making yogurt and cakes.
All-Clad’s D5 pan is a must for any kitchen, but these D3 pans are still ones we’d happily invest in. These pans are fantastic, and if you already missed the brand’s Factory Seconds Sale earlier this year, don’t miss this opportunity to score All-Clad pans on a budget.
The Fellow Ode Brew Grinder is our favorite grinder for pour-over and drip coffee. It produces a consistent grind with its flat burrs that make pour-overs so good. It doesn’t hurt that it comes in a sturdy, attractive package that looks great in your kitchen.

These are just some of the many Gaming Deals we’ve found.
Corsair’s K100 is one of our top picks for mechanical keyboards. It comes with a lot of the same gaming-focused features we like on other keyboards, like programmable macro keys and, naturally, RGB LEDs. But its most unique feature is a customizable wheel on the top left side of the board that can be used to scrub through media or control the lights on your keyboard.
The Cloud Alpha Wireless earned a rare and prestigious 10/10 score in our review. Yes, they’re comfy, sound great, and have a handy mic, but the battery life will blow you away. Most wireless headsets have 30 to 40 hours of battery life, but the Cloud Alpha has a whopping three hundred. Our reviewer actually was able to get even more listening time out of the thing.
Mechanical keyboards are super satisfying to type on. This colorful gaming keyboard offers lots of bells and whistles and mechanical switches that can be customized per key to give you a typing experience unique to you.
This is the PC and PlayStation version of our favorite headphones for the Xbox. It’s comfortable, the mic and sound are stellar, and it has a nice retractable mic with balanced monitoring so you can hear your own voice when you talk. The battery life is about 20 hours.
Clip the coupon button to see the deal at checkout. This one is frequently on sale for around this price, but it’s still a good deal. We haven’t done a full review yet, but WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu has been using it for a few weeks now and likes it. It comes with a nice kickstand case and is decently sharp if you don’t stare too closely at the screen (1080p). The colors are solid, and you have quite a few connectivity options.
Following up on the success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the Jedi: Survivor continues the journey of Cal Kestis and BD-1, his cute little droid. This deal is available for the PS5 and Xbox Series X and is the physical version of the game.
The original HyperX Quadcast became a mainstay of Twitch streams everywhere, but for our money, the Quadcast S (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is the better pick now. It picks up excellent audio quality with minimal effort, and the embedded LEDs now come in the full RGB spectrum. It even has a convenient gain control knob in its base, perfect for adjusting your volume when your games get intense.
This is one of the lowest prices we’ve tracked on this solid state drive. It works anywhere you can fit an M.2 drive, laptop, desktop, or even a PlayStation 5. It’s plenty fast for whatever you throw at it—we recommend it in our How to Build a PC guide. The 2-terabyte model is also on sale for $140 ($20 off), but this is the better per-gigabyte deal.
The Arctis Nova 1X is our top pick for a gaming headset under $100. Since it’s a corded headset, it’s compatible with any platform—PC, PS5, Xbox, Switch, you name it. It feels as sturdy as other top SteelSeries headsets, with great audio for its price.
We love Cherry switches on our mechanical keyboards, but the company also makes keyboards themselves. This low-profile, detachable and rechargeable keyboard gives you that Cherry typing experience whilst letting you move around your house.
The price drop will only show up after you add the product to your cart. This is the first and best discount we’ve seen for the newest installation in The Legend of Zelda series. Check out our full review for more details.

Prime Day Accessory Deals
Of all the portable solid state drives (SSDs) we’ve tested, the Crucial X6 is our favorite. It’s lightweight and incredibly fast. If you need high-speed data access for things like video editing, this is a great option.
I’ve been testing Crucial’s X8 drives for a few months now and really like them. They’re faster than our current top pick (the Crucial X6 above) in our guide to portable SSDs. Compared to the X6 they are heavier and larger, but if speed is all you care about, this is the drive to get.
This is the larger, more powerful sibling of our favorite Anker SlimCore battery pack. What you lose in size, you get back in added power. Unlike the Slim series, this one can charge some laptops (max output is 45W) as well as phones and tablets.
This hub works with iPads and other tablets. You can either plug it in and keep it flush with the edge of your device or use the included cord to keep it extended. You get a USB-C port you can use for pass-through charging, a USB-A, an HDMI, and a headphone jack.
If you suffer from battery anxiety, this is the charger to grab. The 633 includes an alternative to Apple’s own MagSafe Battery Pack. It packs 5,000 mAh, which is enough to get your phone close to full. The fun colors are an added plus. Best of all, you can plop it on the dock to have it charge when you’re home, and the dock can then act as a stand for your iPhone (with room to charge your wireless earbuds case on the base).
If you have an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods this is the MagSafe charger for you. Your phone stick to the left magnet, the Apple Watch will stick to its little puck, and you can recharge your earbuds at the base. We have more charging options in our Best Apple 3-in-1 Wireless Chargers guide.
Satechi’s 108-watt charger is plenty powerful enough to recharge your MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max at the same time with its three USB-C ports. It’s relatively compact and has a plug that folds up.
This Eggtronic charger is our top charger pick for MacBooks. It’s one of the slimmest and most compact we tried, but still dished out nearly 60 watts, fully recharging a 2020 MacBook Pro in an hour and a half. It comes with a 6-foot, 100-watt cable.
Apple’s dual-port USB-C power adapter can recharge your MacBook Air and iPhone simultaneously. It’s compact enough to carry around and rated for 35 watts, making it powerful enough to recharge an iPad Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, and more. However, more power-hungry MacBook Pro models will require something more powerful. See our MacBook accessories guide for other options.
This iOttie is a classy, rock-solid vent mount with a powerful array of magnets to ensure MagSafe-enabled iPhones won’t budge, even on bumpy roads. (It works with the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone 14 range.) There’s also a ball joint so you can slightly angle your phone for a better view. The only thing we don’t like is that the USB-C cable is permanently attached.
Satechi’s four-port hub is on the large side, but you do get a slot for an M.2 SATA solid-state storage drive slot. That means access to fit an external SSD (not included), along with two USB-A jacks, one 100-watt USB-C pass-through charging port, and a 4K HDMI at the same time.
Monoprice’s 28-inch CystralPro is a great 4K monitor. It supports HDR and its colors are suitably vibrant. WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu used it in both a Mac and Windows setup and says it worked great in both. He VESA mounted it, but do note that the mounting holes are recessed—you can use longer M3 screws to make it work. If you want the highest possible resolution on a monitor without spending a boatload of cash, then this is the best we’ve tested.
This is a good deal on our favorite portable display. It sticks to the back of a laptop screen via magnets, which means you do need to be comfortable with sticking and leaving adhesive magnets on the back of your machine, but you get a second screen that doesn’t take up any desk space. Slide it out!
Samsung’s Shield drives aren’t as padded as LaCie’s famous rugged drives, but they’re cheaper and deliver nearly the same speed. This one has an IP65 rating, which means it’s fine in the rain and protected from dust and sand. The T7 line is notable for its built-in security features like hardware-based encryption.
This wireless charging stand from Satechi is runner-up in our buying guide of Best Apple 3-in-1 Wireless Chargers. It doesn’t offer the fastest charging speeds, but it’s perfect for juicing up your devices overnight. With an attractive aluminum design, it also makes a great addition to your nightstand. You’ll have to use your own 20-watt power adapter though.
Sometimes you just nail it the first time, and when Logitech made the C920, that’s exactly what happened. It’s been the standard for external webcams for years and it’s still our runner-up pick to this day. It gets great picture quality in a 1080p picture and captures 30fps.

Apple’s Series 8 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is the best watch for most Apple users. The Series 8 offers all the health features that have been accumulating over the years in the Apple Watches, like blood oxygen level measurements, high and low heart rate notifications, ECGs, and other safety features. The smaller version is also on sale for $280.
The Forerunner 745 is one of Garmin’s best for dedicated runners, bikers, and swimmers. The face is made from durable Gorilla Glass. It has Garmin’s usual array of satellite sensors; a heart rate monitor; an altimeter; a gyroscope, an accelerometer; a thermometer, and a blood oxygen sensor. You can control your phone’s music via the watch, or load music onto it directly and connect your headphones.
Google’s first smartwatch (6/10, WIRED Review) is pretty, with a bright, responsive screen and smooth performance. There’s tracking like on other smartwatches, including sleep and electrocardiogram measurements, it can also detect falls. Still, the battery is lacking and it doesn’t charge very fast and it only works with Android phones. The LTE is also on sale for $290 ($31 off).
The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is our favorite smartwatch for Android phone users. You can use it to reply to your texts and follow turn-by-turn navigation in Google Maps, or track sleep and heart rate. The usual spate of fitness tracking features is present, though some are locked exclusively to Samsung phone owners, like the electrocardiogram.
Sitting pretty at the top of our Best Fitbits guide, the Charge 5 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is attractive, easy to wear, and packs in all the sensors you need to stay fit. There’s also long battery life and onboard GPS, though you need a subscription for the best features. It has dipped this low before, but we’ve yet to see it lower.
Get a gift card for clothes, food delivery, games and more on Amazon. You’re limited to one gift card per brand, and will need to use the corresponding codes to get the deal (such as using the code PRIMEGAP to save $10.50 on a $50 GAP gift card).
If you have any doubt as to whether you should get an Apple Watch at all, you shouldn’t. You should get a Garmin. Just kidding Apple fans, the SE is Apple’s entry-level option and a fine little watch for those of you just stepping into the walled garden. It doesn’t have the flashiest standout features, like the ability to check your blood oxygen or check your electrocardiogram (ECG), but it gets the job done and the price is hard to beat. The cellular model is also on sale for $249 ($41 off).
