Wike Announces Free Bus Rides For Rivers State Residents From June

The Rivers State Government has revealed residents of the state will enjoy free bus service within some part of the state.

Governor Nyesom Wike made this announcement in a Twitter post on Thursday. The free bus rides would commence from the 1st of June.

According to the governor, the free bus service would only be within some local government areas in the state.

Local Government areas that will benefit from the service include Port Harcourt Local Government Area (PHALGA), Obio-Akpor local government area (OBALGA), Oyigbo & Eleme LGAs.

The project is aimed at cushioning the constraints of the Covid-19 pandemic on our citizens.
