The Nigerian media mogul unveiled the transformation of the London property, acquired in March 2025, into a cinema and cultural hub.

EbonyLife Place London will feature an auditorium, restaurant, lounge, bar, retail space and gallery celebrating African culture and entertainment.
Abudu shared the update on Monday alongside a video documenting the transformation of the property since she acquired it in March 2025.
The video showed the property in its original state, and more than a year later, the space has undergone a major transformation, with the auditorium now sporting a polished, vintage-inspired cinema aesthetic.
“I’m so excited to share a little status update on EbonyLife Place London with you.
“Let’s take a little trip back to March 2025, when we acquired the property. This is exactly how it looked then.
“Dull and, quite honestly, a blank canvas!
“Now fast forward to August 2026 and WOW!
“Our Amani Auditorium is almost complete! We’ve gone for a beautiful vintage-inspired look.”
The media executive also revealed that the auditorium forms only one part of the larger EbonyLife Place London project.
“EbonyLife Place London will become the first cinema in the United Kingdom dedicated exclusively to African and Black films, while also creating a vibrant cultural hub celebrating our fashion, music, food and art,” she said.
According to Abudu, the cultural hub will feature several spaces designed to offer visitors more than a cinema experience.
“The space will include our Grand Reception, The Afrobeat Restaurant, Fèhintì Lounge, Maji Concession & Bar, Zuri Retail and The Living Wall Gallery.”
The London project expands the EbonyLife Place brand beyond Nigeria and into the UK, with the new venue positioned as a space for African and Black storytelling, culture and entertainment.
Abudu founded EbonyLife Media, a global media company focused on African stories and talent. EbonyLife Place in Lagos has also served as a major entertainment and lifestyle destination, combining cinema, hospitality, food and cultural experiences.
