Behind Erling Haaland‘s seven goals Norway is into the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time. Ståle Solbakken’s side have reached this point after a pair of 2-1 knockout victories over Ivory Coast and Brazil.

As Haaland continues his pursuit of the Golden Boot and a world title, the Norwegians face an England squad that reached this same stage in 2022 and the semifinals in 2018. The Three Lions’ run nearly came to an end in the Round of 16, but they edged Mexico 3-2 after going down to 10-men following a red card to Jarell Quansah, who has since been suspended two games.

Haaland has already started the mind games saying that all the pressure is on England’s side as they pursue their first World Cup title since 1966.

The winner will advance to face Argentina or Switzerland in Wednesday’s semifinal in Atlanta.

Argentina vs. Switzerland

Saturday, July 11 | 9 p.m. ET | Kansas City, Mo. | TV: Fox

Odds: Argentina -350, Switzerland +265

The reigning world champions were nearly knocked out in their previous two matches with 3-2 wins over Cape Verde and Egypt. Golden Boot leader Lionel Messi was once again front and center in the dramatic finishes with key goals that helped Argentina reach a second straight semifinal.

This is the first time the Swiss have advanced past the Round of 16 since 1954. A clean sheet against Algeria and a penalty shootout victory over Colombia booked their ticket to Kansas City and a date with Argentina.

Johan Manzambi will miss a second straight game with a knee injury. The 20-year-old striker, who has scored three times in the tournament, also missed out on their Round of 16 victory over Colombia.
